Hydroponics is a hydroponic cultivation system with special (vegetable) seeds. We are currently in the testing phase with around 2000 vegetables, such as lettuce, cabbage, spinach and many other vegetables. For the tests we use seeds from the Dutch company Rijkzwaan.
After an interesting and wonderful period in Kurdistan, Iraq, Willem Cosijn stops as Consul General in Erbil, Iraq. We would like to thank him for his good work and the pleasant contact over the past 2 years. We look forward to continuing the good work with the new Consul General, Hans Akkerman.
The Horticultural Development Programme aims to increase the competitiveness of the agricultural sector, increase access to the market and enhance the knowledge of an effective and sustainable management. The programme is funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation.
This is where the agricultural revolution in the KRI begins! Together with Rudaw-TV in the modern greenhouse Dutch firm HortiXS is building in Erbil together with Sina group. Impressed by the progress this Kurdish-Dutch team made!
Thanks to the IQ Team in The Hague for the swift extension of my IQ visa. Used the opportunity to brief HE Ambassador Al-Alawi on the 12(!!!) Kurdish-Dutch projects for the diversification of the KRI economy, mainly in Dutch – Kurdish agriculture partnerships.
